How to get to Ninh Binh from Cat Ba ? Now It is so easier. It takes about 5 hours by BUS + FERRY + BUS. We offer free pick up all of you from your hotel in Cat Ba Town then drop off you at Ninh Binh Provice or Tam Coc area.

From Cat Ba to Ninh Binh, there are two ways for you to choose:

1. Hydrofoil to Hai Phong. You can go straigh to the harbour and buy a ticket from here for hydrofoil with price 180.000 – 220.000 (low season – hight season). Or outside the harbor there are plenty of agencies that sell tickets for a hydrofoil to Hai Phong, then you take a taxi to Bus station to get bus to Ninh Binh.
2. Bus Cat ba to Cai Vieng, then Ferry to Got harbour -> bus to Ninh Binh (368.000 VND / 16$ / 5h).

They will pick you up at your hotel/hostel from Cat Ba island or somewhere far away from the center like Beo harbour or some others homestay around the island, then the bus take you to Cai Vieng, speed boat is waitting there for 5 minutes to the other side, and from here an other bus take you straigh to Ninh Binh town and Tam Coc up on your request.

If you booked the hotel already, from your place, just take a taxi to there or if not just walk around to looking for a room, dorm or just a homstay which suitable with your money.

The time: 8 am, 13h00 and 15h00 pm every day from Cat Ba to Ninh Binh.
